24/7 Emergency Plumber in Long Grove & Chicagoland

A burst pipe or a backed-up sewer does not wait for business hours. Call now — someone answers.

Water running hard from a kitchen faucet into a stainless sink

Plumbing emergencies happen on nights, weekends and holidays, and they get worse every minute they are left alone. A burst supply line can put water into a finished basement fast. A sewer backup is a health problem, not just an inconvenience. A failed water heater in January is not something to sleep on. North Service Plumbing answers emergency calls 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for the Chicagoland area.

The first priority on any emergency call is to stop the damage: get the water shut off, isolate the failure, and make the situation safe. From there we find the source, explain what it will take to fix it, and either complete the repair or make it safe and stable until the full repair can be done.

We handle burst and frozen pipes, active leaks inside walls and ceilings, sewer and main-line backups, no-water situations, sump pump failures during heavy rain, water heater leaks and failures, and overflowing or continuously running toilets that will not stop.

If you are dealing with an active leak right now, shut off your main water valve if you can reach it safely, keep away from any electrical panel or outlet the water has reached, move what you can out of the way, and call us.

“Several times I have had plumbing needs for both new installation of fixtures for renovations and repairs of broken pipes, including septic, well, main stack and sump pump. In the purchase of my new home there were issues found that needed to be addressed. Not only were they repaired in a timely, professional and affordable manner, they also did everything needed to get permits and as a result all repairs were inspected and approved by our village. Marius is a true lifesaver. When something goes wrong, call Marius and he’ll be there on time and do the job right.”

Emergency Service: common questions

What should I do right now while I wait?

Shut off the main water valve if you can reach it safely — it is usually near where the line enters the house or by the water meter. Stay away from any electrical panel or outlet the water has touched. Move valuables and soak up standing water if you can. Then call us.

What counts as a plumbing emergency?

A burst or actively leaking pipe, a sewer or main-line backup, no water to the house, a leaking water heater, a sump pump that has failed during a storm, or a toilet overflowing that will not stop. A single dripping faucet or one slow drain can usually wait for a scheduled visit.

Do you really answer at night and on weekends?

Yes. Emergency service is 24/7, including nights, weekends and holidays. Call the same number: (847) 877-3884.

How much does an emergency call cost?

It depends on the problem and the time. We tell you the charges before we start the work, the same as we do on a scheduled call. What we will not do is quote a repair over the phone sight unseen.

Can you fix it on the first visit?

Often, yes — especially for pipe repairs and clearing backups. If a job needs a specific part or a permit, we make the situation safe and stable and schedule the full repair right away.
